The Company

Business of Culture was founded in 2003 as an independent, specialist, service consultancy to the cultural and creative industries. It merged three smaller companies, Marketing & Management Consultancy Ltd, proArts consulting and STR Music Management and combined the huge experience of the founding directors in project and business development, strategy, marketing and research across all the arts, design, heritage, media, museums, and entertainment fields. Our clients are from both private and public sectors and include commercial companies as well as not-for-profit, charitable and social enterprise organizations, local authorities, regional and government agencies and NDPBs. We have also developed expertise in cultural planning, culture led regeneration and the cultural and social element of sustainable communities and place making.

From our base in London we work throughout the UK and internationally. We are renowned for our creative and evidence based solutions to our clients' challenges and for working closely with them to understand their aspirations.

Our consultancy work is supported by a recently upgraded full MS ICT computer network with back up and full insurance cover in public liability, professional indemnity and loss of work.
